I was very surprised and happy when I noticed that St. John's Cathedral has lunchtime recitals on wednesdays for half an hour. I used to go to the "little church around the corner" every tuesday at lunchtime back in NYC and I always enjoyed it very much.
So last week there was a violinist and today it was a piano recital by Ho Ho Ming. She played Bach, Beethoven and Chopin and for half an hour I totally forgot all the people in the streets, the traffic noise, ... It is a little escape worth going. For anyone interested:it's Wednesdays from 1:15-1:45pm at St.John's Cathedral, no entrance, there will be a retiring collection.
